The island with its great musical tradition, the beautiful beaches, the impressive villages and the Laganas National Park, where Caretta Caretta Turtles lay their eggs, has yet another "secret" to reveal to its visitors: The Exotic Blue Caves.
Near the cape of Skinari, on the north side of the island, the Blue Caves compose a landscape of wild and at the same time peaceful beauty. The rugged cliffs, on the one hand, the tranquil waters of the blue color, and the strange cave feeling on the other, create all the necessary elements for a unique experience. The colorful feast is not limited to white and blue but also includes the purple and orange from the corals in the water.
Guests can reach the caves with the boats, which start from various points of the island and take a ferry to the northwest of Zakynthos and the Aspros Vrachos area. Some of them pass only out of the caves, while others go through some of the rooms. The successive chambers lead to the Great and the Little Cave, leaving the visitor to enjoy the wonderful colors of the water reflection and the morphology of the rocks.
In addition to the boat ride, the bolds try to dive into their wonderful and cold-blue waters while many combine the visit to the Blue Caves with a stroll to the famous Shipwreck.
